Six vehicles on I-20: on scene 92 minutes after the call
The day after Christmas, a chain-reaction crash in an I-20 construction zone east of Atlanta involved five cars and our client's loaded tractor-trailer. The assignment reached Steve Camp at 2:13 pm. He had the truck driver on the phone at the scene by 2:20, had called the motor carrier while en route, and was on scene at 3:45 while the officer and most of the drivers were still there. He interviewed our driver, gathered all the drivers together to confirm that no one reported an injury, and photographed all six vehicles, including old damage on the car that started the crash. He identified every adverse party and their insurer, confirmed $500,000 in liability coverage on the at-fault car, and sent the truck's dash camera video to the examiner the next day. That video showed what the police narrative also said: our truck was the last vehicle in, at under 5 mph, and the car that started the chain was at fault.

Red light, green arrow: on scene across the state line the same night
Late on a Thursday afternoon, a sedan ran a red light in Montgomery, Alabama and hit the front of our client's loaded tractor-trailer as it turned left onto the I-85 entrance on a green arrow. The assignment reached Steve Camp in Carrollton at 5:50 pm. He was on the road within minutes, and while driving he reached the motor carrier's safety department, texted the hospitalized truck driver, and got the police report number and the officer's name. He gave the examiner a status call within two hours and was on scene that evening, photographing the intersection, the signal heads and the truck's path to rest. Within four days he had found and interviewed two independent witnesses. One saw the car run the light. The other, a utility worker at the corner, looked up at the sound of the crash and saw all three northbound signals solid red. Steve confirmed the truck's dash camera video had gone to the police and the carrier. He then learned that the at-fault car's policy had been cancelled six months before the accident and pursued the owner for any other coverage, so the carrier knew early where it stood.

Head-on on a two-lane highway: on scene the same morning, closed in a week
A loaded lumber hauler was northbound on a rural two-lane state highway in south Georgia when an oncoming pickup crossed the center line and hit the tractor head-on. We got the assignment late that morning and our adjuster headed for the scene within minutes. He arrived while the wrecker was still pulling the rig out of the ditch and the State Patrol was still working the scene. Before anything was cleared, he documented the scene in 27 photos: the approach, the skid marks, the point of impact in our driver's lane, our driver's attempt to avoid the collision, and both vehicles' final resting places. He also confirmed our driver was uninjured and that the trooper cited the other driver, located both vehicles and contacted the other driver's insurer. The first and final report went to the carrier seven days after the accident.

Hurricane Irma: a tree through two roofs, agreed scope in 12 days
When Hurricane Irma uprooted a large tree behind a high-value home in Gwinnett County, it crushed a screened porch, snapped rafters on the main hip roof, punched through a flat membrane roof and sent water pouring into a sunroom with a custom box-beam ceiling. We had the assignment the day after the storm, and Josh Clark inspected two days later with the homeowner and her contractor. Josh documented the loss in 53 captioned photos, worked through the scope line by line with the contractor (including matching skylights and one-year-old architectural shingles), and got the contractor's written agreement to our estimate. The final report went to the carrier 12 days after the loss.

Tropical Storm Irma: separating wear and tear from wind damage
A DeKalb County homeowner came back from two weeks out of town to find water on his hardwood floors and stains spreading across several ceilings. Josh Clark traced the water to two sources: long-term wear around the chimney flashing, and wind-damaged shingles on both slopes. A brittle test showed the 15-year-old shingles could not be repaired, and we noted the Georgia code upgrades the replacement would trigger. We measured the roof with EagleView, priced the flooring through an Itel lab test, checked every piece of bedroom furniture and caught mildew forming under the bed. The report also flagged that the dwelling appeared over-insured. Documented with 100 captioned photos and closed five days after inspection.
